Here is another really interesting product that takes advantage of all the information in the Revit MEP model. ElumTools, (Developed by Lighting Analysts, Inc.) offers smooth workflow within Revit in calculating point-by-point illuminance (footcandles) for a typical Room or Space.
The calculations can be done within seconds once lighting fixture families and materials are validated for accurate lighting calculations. Multiple Rooms or Spaces can be computed at once and lighting results are evaluated using ElumTools interactive visualization UI. This all adds up to a tremendous amount of time saved integrating lighting with Revit.
Once the results have been computed and reviewed in their ElumTools UI the results can be integrated back into the Revit model using (you guessed it) the Analysis Visualization Framework (AVF).
When the room was selected analysis data is visible in the Revit properties dialog.
I find this quite a cool concept and a compelling workflow where the specialized UI is used to get you to the result but then the results are available to you in your modeling and documentation environment.
Take a look at the many videos they have on the product site.
