Well the updated add-ins for Revit 2012 are starting to come out at an impressive pace. As I may have mentioned before, we used to consider anything released within 90 days of the Revit’s First Customer Ship as a great success. Now we are seeing releases very close to the 30 day mark.
These Revit Utilities have been release since Revit 2010 and are quite popular according to the surveywe did when this blog was stared. The new feature I wanted to highlight is the DWF capability which improves on the Revit DWF export by including the following:
- All of the parameter data (not just some) in 2D and 3D
- Hyperlinks (in 2D)
- Data added to tags as well as elements
- Predefined 3D viewpoints for selected categories

You can find a lot more detail on Matt Mason’s blog. BTW Matt was also involved with with the Scan To BIM Product that I have talked about numerous times before and it was updated to Revit 2012 recently.
So do you use DWF in your workflow?
